Lately

Let’s catch up a bit, shall we? So lately …

I ate some new Chobani flavors

photo 5 Lately

Chobani was extremely generous and sent a bunch of new flavors for me to try out, including Pear Greek Yogurt, Banana Greek Yogurt, and Chobani Bites. Out of the yogurt, Banana is my favorite – although I didn’t think it would be! The Bites are a new thing from Chobani, which I’m loving. They’re about half the size of a full Chobani, making them perfect for a little snack. My favorite flavor? Chocolate with Dark Chocolate bits. Oh. My God. YUM.

I watched Flight

Not for the person who’s scared of flying! A good chunk of the beginning followed a plane crashing. I did NOT enjoy this. Overall, an interesting movie. Depressing, kind of. Pretty good message. Acting was fabulous!

I read listened to When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris

I finally embraced the audiobook, after almost a year and a half of commuting. This has been a great book to listen to on my drive. I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m really liking it. Since it’s short stories, it’s a great format for ‘picking up’ and ‘putting down’.

I watched (TV) The Walking Dead

I was looking for something to get me through 5 miles on Sunday, and thought I found a good movie. I was wrong, and it was The Walking Dead. I’d heard good things about it, but never had seen it. Now I want to get my hands on all the seasons!

Eat/watch/read anything good lately?

I have been looking everywhere for the Chobani Bites and haven’t had any luck finding them. They look so good! I really want to try the chocolate one-I could eat chocolate everyday if it was smart!!

I found them at our Hy-Vee (Midwest thing). Maybe they just haven’t gotten to your area quite yet?

    I. Love. David. Sedaris.

    “You’re going to die.”

It’s even better when he reads it. I love his audio books. Bonus: Chip Kidd designed that cover (even though I’m kinda over Chip Kidd after last summer).

Oh and DS is going to be in DSM on April 17.

Lol. It’s the first book I’ve read/listened to of his. He does have a good voice for it!

      I think I knew that … somehow.

Also, I think that I heard that but wasn’t too sure about going.

I love audiobooks. My husband and I listen to them on our 8 hours drive to Alabama each month! I think this past year we have listened to about 10. The best part is when we have about 20 minutes left and we either sit in the car and finish it or play it on the iHome. Haha

I have had this commute for 5+ years and just started listening to podcasts in the last 6 months and am just now trying audiobooks.

I’ve heard podcasts are good but don’t really have a good ‘system’ for getting them. What did you do?

I really have nothing to say about anything on here.. lol. Your movie/book/TV choices just aren’t in line with mine.. :)

BUT. I do like your site layout lately, and maybe you can help me clean up mine lol. I have so many side badges, I’m not sure the best way to shove them all on there!

Also.. are you part of BlogHer TV?

Lol, maybe you should do one of these so I know what you’re into, then?

Thanks! I just switched it up a bit because I needed a wider column for BlogHerTV, which I just got approved for. So I know about nothing about it at this point, but I was excited to get approved!

Anyway, I didn’t like the uneven on both sides, so I moved them both to one. I didn’t really ‘say’ anything because I didn’t think people would notice, haha.

I might be able to handle giving some advice :) .

I haven’t tried the banana or bites, yet, but I LOVED the pear! I can’t wait to taste them all, especially the caramel pineapple. :)

I had heard that Flight was rather depressing, and although I’m not afraid of flying, I have a feeling it might MAKE me afraid…

Caramel pineapple sounds so interesting! I didn’t know that was a flavor.

Um, for sure. It made me sad for the world! I would agree – I was FREAKED that someone could fly a plane while drunk!
